Memorabilia Monday: Untitled Q101 CD

The Smashing Pumpkins debuted the song "Untitled" in 2000 before the "final" show at the Metro. Billy Corgan personally debuted the single with an appearance on Chicago's own Q101 radio station in late November. The song was billed as a goodbye song to the fans and two promotional videos were shot for the single and later released in 2001 through Virgin Records.

Conflicting reports state Q101 released one to three "Untitled" CDs that feature cover art from the compilation album, Rotten Apples (Greatest Hits). The unique pressing was released to the first caller(s) who answered a trivia question correctly. Even if three copies do exist, this extreme rarity is a fine representation of memorabilia in any Smashing Pumpkins collection.
