MEMORABILIA MONDAYS / A MACHINA RARITY

From BC: "This here is the genuine article: a cd-pro from Masterdisk, NYC, from the era when Howie Weinberg worked there; and as you might note, has my handwriting on it too. Where this came from I know not (unless I gave it away?) More than likely 'procured' (which is a nice way of saying: taken by illicit means from someone who worked for SP and passed on for dosh). Back then, a cd-pro was used to determine whether the last stage coloration and level process was suitable for release, ‘too low’ meaning the overall lever of that song is inadequate against others. As a piece of memorabilia it’s not particularly notable, since there is nothing unreleased on it. But what did catch my eye is that it could have only come from my provenance, and allows a small glimpse into the mechanical process of how one finishes a record; 'Age of Innocence-Mix 1i meaning there are at least 8 others before it.”
