How albums came to be is always an interesting and most usually an unseen story. Today's memorabilia is The Aeroplane Flies High vinyl reissue prototype box (silver item). This part of the reissue story features the style of detailed foil paper to be used on the reissue box casings. Possibly a small detail for some, but an interesting detail of what would be the only pressings of The Aeroplane Flies High on vinyl.
This Yamaha BB-300 bass is a true piece of Smashing Pumpkins/rock history. It belonged to Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan and was played on stage by him at the very first Smashing Pumpkins show in 1988. Billy played this bass while James played guitar. As the group expanded, the instrument became bassist D’arcy Wretzky’s stage backup for all the early Smashing Pumpkins gigs.
This bass is currently on display at Hard Rock Cafe, Seville, Spain.
