FUZZ WUZZ / SP ALBUM UPDATE

SOLARA is back, just to prove it could. But TOODLE-LOO was a flameout, modern, anthemic, one-hook chorus aside. (insert Howard frown)

And there's a new one, called MAGIK, MAGIK (EVERYWHERE). That we'll work on today.

Current (sorta, sanguine) list:

THE DAUPHINE a carryover from my days wandering around Coldwater Canyon. But don't get excited, it's an instrumental. and speaking of mental, that's where I'm going; trying to make a rock and roll record out of a list of songs that is at once gorgeous and sleepy. Didn't I promise 'guitars, guitars, guitars'!

Howard, he loves the guitar, but points at that radio. "A'int nobody using them!" Yet he also predicts their comeback. Jeff and I don't believe it.

We say: "Why would a kid bother to learn?" And we don't mean that from a place of bitterness, 'cause the recognition is the 15-year old us's probably wouldn't have bothered.

My goal now is to make a better record than the one I'm making, which is weird because if you heard this record as it stands it's quite good. But everyone knows: quite good don't mean squat in the wild west.
